The easiest way to understand your energy use
and lower your power bills

Wattson monitors, logs, displays, your energy consumption, and your renewable energy production.

  • Shows you how much electricity your home is using at any given time.
  • Displays in watts, dollars or colour changing light. A blue glow means lower than average usage, red glow indicates higher than average usage. (average calculated from your energy use)
  • Wattson is wireless and portable carry it around the home and find out how much power appliances consume (detects stand by loads down to 2-4watts). Wattson receives its information wirelessly from a transmitter placed in your electricity meter box.
  • Measures renewable energy generation. Wattson will monitor the amount of power you are generating from renewable power eg solar panels or wind turbines (Renewable monitoring requires the purchase of 1 extra sensor clip).
  • Displays your net power: Renewable generation (Amount of electricity you are feeding onto the grid). The amount of energy you generate minus the energy you actually use.
  • NEW Feature! Wattson now displays the time.
  • Data is logged in Wattson and easily loads into your computer via USB (cable supplied) to Holmes software.
  • Can measure single, and 3 phase systems; making it suitable for large houses, small businesses and even schools (3 phase power requires the purchase of 2 extra sensor clips).
  • Calculates (time based) peak, off peak and shoulder tariffs. (Option in Holmes software)

Installation

Diagram of Wattson energy meter, sensor, and transmitter box in house Inside your meter box; the sensor clamp plugs into the transmitter (2).
The transmitter sends information to Wattson (1) inside your home.

The sensor clip and transmitter measure the electricity coming into your home, and the Wattson displays in watts or in cost, how much electricity your home is using at any moment.

Wattson glowing pinkThe coloured lights show how much energy you’re using. When the lights glow blue, you’re using less electricity than normal. When there’s a purple glow, you’re using the average for your home. When they’re red, you’re using more electricity than usual.

An unintrusive, gentle reminder that all the family can easily understand. Night/ energy saving mode switches display off and all but one of the glowing lights.
