Solar Power: Residential

Grid connected solar power for your home

Grid connected solar illustration

Generate your own 240V AC electricity. Supplying power to your house, and feeding excess power back into the grid. At night you simply draw power back from the grid.

Summary of benefits available for residential systems

Three major schemes are now available for grid connected systems

  1. NSW Solar Bonus Scheme (ongoing revenue)
  2. Australian Government Solar Credit scheme (payed post installation)
  3. Interest Free Green Loan subsidy (residential only)

By combining these schemes, small residential installs require no up front capital when combined with an Australian Government Green Loan (4years interest free). After 4 years a standard small residential system will have payed back around 70% of its up front cost using theSolar Credit scheme and Feed in tariff. The following 3 years will see a return on capital of around $1000 for every kilowatt of installed capacity feeding the grid.
