Buying poor quality panels is a gamble
Choose your solar panels carefully. Cheap, poor quality panels may greatly affect your solar investment, and in the worst circumstances create a fire hazard.
Faults known as "hot spots" are the degradation of silicon which in turn creates arcs and short circuits within the panel. Hot spots greatly reduce the life span of your panels and also create a potential fire hazard. The occurance of hot spots is greatly increased by poor quality silicon and low manufacturing standards.
